Blame it on San Mig Lights
I had my week planned, I was about to shoot the Independence Day Celebration in Kawit, Cavite yesterday, I only covered an Independence Day Celebration once in 2007. But I didn’t make it for this year’s Independence Day fiesta, blame it on San Mig Lights.

It was an impromptu meet-up with my friends at seo.ph forum last Thursday, Major YM’ed me for a get together, Miles a British (married to a Pinay) who is an active member of the forum is on vacation in the Philippines asked for the meet-up.
Major, Miles & I spent the whole afternoon and early evening at the Congo Grille in El Pueblo, Ortigas Center chatting about what else but how to earn money online.

Unlike our previous meet-ups, we finished early, it was almost 9PM when we called it a night, the next problem is going home. The traffic along Roxas Boulevard was enormous, it was then that I realized that the famous girl group Pussy Cat Dolls were having a concert at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds that night. In short, it was around midnight when I reached home.
I ended up waking up late the next day and not much energy to make it to the 111th Philippine Independence Celebration.
Later in the afternoon, I met Major & his family who’s having an R&R in a resort near my place, they were at the Kalipayan Resort & Hotel in Dasmariñas, Cavite.
I gave Major’s sister & brother-in-law a free photography workshop over some San Mig Lights in can, of course I would not let the night pass without taking some night-shots. Here’s a shot of the pool from their room, shutter was at 30 seconds, aperture at f22, ISO100. I didn’t bring my tripod with me but I improvised by placing the camera on the concrete railings of the veranda.

It’s time to do some stargazing now, the weather was not cooperative enough for me to capture some star trailing except for one on the top left corner of the photo. It was a 5 minute shot at f22, talk about patience now huh!

I’ve never been drunk 2 days in a row in many years until now, but it was fun, fun to be with people who never gets tired of sharing their knowledge. Better get some sleep now…
