Conversations with the Master Photographers
The Camera Club of the Philippines opened the way it’s 80th year with an exhibit entitled Elements: Photoconstructed Realities, the exhibit is being staged at the Ayala Museum from August 16-29, 2007.
Part of this, a Lecture was sponsored by the club to teach aspiring photographers, the lecture was more on the creative aspect of photography which is the composition. I listed up & attended the session, the lecture is free, one has to pay only the basic museum entrance fee of P150 to attend.

The event was opened up by Bobby Paterno one of the Club Director.

The current President, Leo Riingen conducted the lecture on composition (fogive the photos, it’s not sharp)

After the lecture we had lunch (own account), the afternoon session started with the tour on the Audio-Visual Exhibit, 9 LCD screens showing images taken by the club members.
Then off we go the the Zen Garden to shoot, you don’t get to shoot any place at any time within the Ayala Compound, they are strict on their “no photography” policy, but since this is an official activity of the museum, we were allowed to take photos of the Zen Garden.

The elusive dragonfly.

Another participant trying to shoot the elusive dragonfly.

Now more shooters on the elusive dragonfly.

Ooops! Enought of shooting the other photographers, it’s time to listen & take tips from the members, this is Tilak Hettige, a Sri Lankan photographer, I first met him when I took basic photography at FPPF in 2004, it’s amazing that he still recognizes me. We had a talk for a few minutes & given me some useful tips that I can use.
Now more images.

According to Leo, they will also bring the exhibit to SM Malls, so if you don’t have time to check out this exhibit, you might bump into them the next time you visit your favorite SM Malls.

Hahaha! You were there?!! I was actually there and arrived late in classroom 2 where Leo Riingen was talking about composition. I wasn’t actually going to attend that seminar since I didn’t register but I got invited by my friend at CCP to view the Elements Exhibit. I was also having lunch at the museum cafe with the CCP members.
Sayang I could have said hi. hehehe I didn’t bring a camera there and was only using my cam phone. And I was wearing an off-green samurai shirt.
sayang nga ano? tsk tsk tsk
