Haring Araw
I have this thing about the sun, specially sunset & sunrise. I can’t help but admire it’s beauty, it’s power to change hues before one’s eye. From a calm soft light in the morning to harsh bright during noon, into a sad yet beautiful orange color when it sets.
This maybe the reason why I really take time to capture it’s beauty whenever I have a chance. Let me tell you the stories behind this 2 sun photos.
Let me start when the day starts, this sunrise shot was taken on my way to a photo assignment last April 5, 2007. I was walking towards the main road to fetch a tricycle when I saw this

The scene made me stop & glance on how beautiful God’s creation can be, I didn’t waste time & grabbed my camera & started shooting, good thing I got my CF card loaded in it. I was amazed on how the sun painted that pinkish cast on the clouds & how it blended well on what was a light blue sky.
Ask me once & I will say it again & again, nothing beats the beauty of the sunset in Manila Bay, should I say more?

I’ve taken a lot of sunset photographs but I can say this photos beats them all. This was taken recently, after our trip to the Manila Ocean Park, we stayed on to witness & capture the sunset on that day. Actually, I did a little experiment on that day, I took photos of different sunset hues by altering the cameras white balance setting & the result was quite impressive.
So, the next time you see a rising or setting sun, try to enjoy & appreciate it’s beauty.
