Lunar Penumbral Eclipse
It was on the news, a phenomenon called Lunar Penumbral Eclipse will happen, it was schedule to happen at 20:36 Philippine Standard time yesterday night. I researched the net regarding this, according to Wikipedia:
A penumbral eclipse occurs when the Moon passes through the Earth’s penumbra. The penumbra does not cause any noticeable darkening of the Moon’s surface, though some may argue it turns a little yellow. A special type of penumbral eclipse is a total penumbral eclipse, during which the Moon lies exclusively within the Earth’s penumbra. Total penumbral eclipses are rare, and when these occur, that portion of the Moon which is closest to the umbra can appear somewhat darker than the rest of the Moon.
So I prepared my camera & waited, well I will have to stay up late for my daily site monitoring/link building and also, it’s a Monday & it’s I-Witness day.
I went outside & took a shot of the moon:

I see no difference from the other moon that I saw, according to the news, it will last until 00:30 of the next day.
So I waited & waited, it was suppose to peak at around 22:30 & I still see no change except for the rainbow like glow surrounding the moon (which my camera wasn’t able to capture), also, the moon is kinda grayish.
Hmmm… Maybe it’s not like the eclipse that I was expecting, maybe I need some big telescope to see the difference. Anyways, till the next eclipse.

Sayang di ko rin nakita yan, hangover kasi ko nun…hehe!
Medyo off topic, e kase naman wala kang Valentines Day entry, pero just the same, I just want to greet my Husband a Happy Valentines Day. Regalo mo?!!
