The Journey Continues…

at long last after almost a year natapos ko na rin itong basahin. i’m getting my reading appetite back. magaling magkwento si patterson, detelyado. a self-confessed advocate for gun control in america, i wouldn’t be surprised that he wrote this book.

medyo nabinitin lang ako sa ending, after an elaborated presentation, parang minadali ang ending. talagang ganito nga yata karamihan ng mga fiction novels, it leaves the “what happens next” question in your mind. generally i liked the book, it kept my mind working & guessing.

now that my reading mood is back, this is a good time to start another one. bigay ito ni diego sa akin, alam n’ya na mahilig akong magbasa, bigay daw ng isang kaibigan ang librong ito. the first time i saw the book, sabi ko “sino ito?”, i didn’t know who patricia cornwell is until i opened up the book, siya pala ang author ng body of evidence, the controversial film by madonna.

i started reading the book yesterday night (nakatulugan ko na nga e), mejo kakaiba ang presentation n’ya, first person approach ang manner ng pagku-kwento. dr. kay scarpetta is the main character & the story-teller at the same time. judging from her previously published book & her past work as a crime reporting, mukhang kabisado na ni cornwell ang pagsusulat ng mga crime stories. honestly, this is the first crime story na babasahin ko, it’s not that i don’t like reading something like this, mas na-addict lang ako kay grisham noon. i hope this book will encourage me to read more crime stories.
