Pacquiao vs. Punching Bag
Manny’s fight today was the most boring Manny Pacquiao fight ever!
Honestly, I was so disappointed, it’s like my boxing hero fighting against a moving punching bag. Clottey seems to forget how to box, was busy defending his face in front of 51,000 boxing fans inside the Cowboys Stadium while Manny untiringly hitting him from which ever opening.
I can see how frustrated Manny was, in one instance, he used Lito Lapid’s patented “pompyang” attack, which of course is not permitted inside the boxing ring. The match looks to me as though an extension of Manny Pacquiao’s workout.
A win is a win, OK but at least give the people their money’s worth, I think it was in the 9th round when Lenny De Jesus told Joshua Clottey, “take a chance or go home as a loser.” His coach was right, Manny has dominated him from the opening bell and yet Joshua Clottey was not fighting back, throughout the 12 rounds he only punched 399 times that’s less than 34 punches per round while Pacquiao delivered 1299 punches.
Still my congratulations goes to Manny for a job well done!
