Some people really spend their lifetime together

Yesterday, I witnessed a very special event.

In this day & age when true love is hard to find, when relationships are like chewing gum that seems so easy to spit out, it’s so inspiring to know that long lasting relationship is still possible.

I covered the 50th wedding anniversary of Bert & Choleng Mariano, the couple are based in California & 2 of their 3 sons are based abroad, the eldest lives in Arizona, the middle child settled in Canada while the youngest lives here in the Philippines.

The celebration or should I say the renewal of the vow was held at Sancto Hieronymo Aemiliano Parish in Alabang & the reception at Bellevue Hotel also in Alabang. I watch in awe & wondered how they’ve survived the challenges of married life for 50 long years. Something that I hope to achieve.
