SPI Batch ‘86 Christmas Get Together
I received 2 text messages from my high school classmates while shooting a garden wedding at El Palacio Hotel in Cavite City last Saturday, both were saying that we will be having a Christmas Party the following day (Sunday).
The party was originally scheduled on the 12th of December but since I didn’t hear any updates from them, I decided to accept a wedding shoot assignment.
It was not a big gathering, only 13 were there, it’s Christmas season and with a short notice, it’s just understandable. We dined (and drank) at Kainan sa Balsa in Banalo, Bacoor, Cavite, just a stone throw away from our school.
Besides the chow and booze, endless reminiscing dominated the gathering, it was last June when we last held our get together, but yesterday was a bit different, one of our classmate came home from the States to see us and spend Christmas here.
It was also time for us to plan our upcoming reunion, since the school alumni decided to hold a grand reunion in August next year, a a batch reunion was also planned.
We left the resto at 10PM, it’s closing time, the girls went home while the boys looked for another place to spend more time to drink and mingle. We found a place called El Horno Bar & Grill somewhere in Banalo.
I left them (together with 2 others) at around 1PM, I had enough of San Miguel Pale Pilsen and San Mig Lights combined in my stomach. Besides feeling wasted, I really had fun, next round will be on the 3rd of January, Romil requested us to join him in a lunch before he leaves for the States.
