The last time I witnessed this festival was during the 12th Philippine Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in 2008. I was alone then, this time I’m accompanied by my wife.
We decided to be there during the first day, one, it’s a weekday and I’m expecting fewer people going there and two, we are schedule to leave on the evening of February 9th for Sagada.
We left Cavite on the afternoon of February 8th and went to Genesis Bus Terminal at Doroteo Jose St. in Manila, we arrived at Dau Terminal a few minutes after 7PM, had our dinner and checked in at a local hotel.
Being far away from the venue made us decide to spend a night there, it was more convenient for us rather than to take the early morning bus.

I was saddened since I didn’t get to shoot the balloons closely, I was not able to get a “Photographer’s Pass” this time around. But, as always, it was nice shooting the balloons again.
