When will they refund my ticket?

March of last year when I bought a Cebu Pacific air ticket from Ticket N’ Post outlet in SM Dasmariñas. My wife asked me to cover the class reunion of a high school in Oras, Southern Leyte where my father-in-law was a teacher, but due to unavoidable circumstances, I was not able to use the ticket.

I almost forgot the existence of that ticket until cleaned the clutters in my room, good thing it’s still ‘qualified’ for refund.

So I went back to Ticket N’ Post outlet in SM Dasma to file for refund in August of 2008, I filed up the form that the clerk gave me and left the outlet after hearing that my refund (check) will be available in 3 weeks time. She also told me that the original price will be slashed by about 60% for whatever reason I don’t know.

I know for a fact that they 3 weeks will be impossible, I’ve heard a lot of horror story about getting refund from Cebu Pacific, I didn’t comeback to that ticketing office for 2 months, honestly I wasn’t really surprised when they told me that the check was still not available.

For about 6 months, I regularly visit the office to check if the refund is available and each visit the reply will be “the refund is not yet available.” It was on the 7th month when I got p*ssed, the “not yet available answer is not anymore acceptable to me. I demanded the sales clerk for an answer, I (politely) demanded that she call their head office to check the status of my refund process.

She complied, they chatted using YM for almost an hour, with giggling and smiling on the side, it was a different response, “my concern is being checked.”

I can’t understand why it took this long to refund less than 2,000 pesos, don’t get me wrong, I know that there are protocols that are being followed, but demn! it’s almost a year now!

Persistent that I am, I went back to the ticketing office last Sunday, again, I insisted that my concern be checked in their main office, sadly, the I got the same response.

The best I can do is to check it again next month, I left my phone number hoping that they will update me. The question remains, when will they refund my ticket?
