It’s been a while since I said these words for the simple reason that working at home means no weekend off and considering that most of my photography gigs happened during the weekends. It’s quite different now, I’m a 9-5 guy again hopefully for a short period of time and being back into the corporate world cycle makes me cherish every minute of the weekends.
I’m still adjusting to the new set-up, I got the job only last week and still not fully adjusted to this kind of lifestyle, it has been 2 1/2 years since I left the last company that I worked for.

After 23 years I was able to see my classmates & batchmates from St. Peregrine Institute class of 1986. Although we had small gathering before, I believe yesterday’s get together was so far the biggest, thanks to technology & the internet, we were able to organize yesterday’s event.
Besides the get-together as planned in our Yahoo Groups, it was also also a celebration of Anne & Annie’s birthday. A classmate from abroad sent lechon, the two celebrants took care of the food while the boys were in-charge of the drinks.
Honestly, I had a hard time recognizing most of the people who were there, well I’m not alone, the word of the day was “memory gap.” Now look at how the campus heartthrob of batch ‘86.

It’s the second year of Scott Shelby’s Annual Worldwide Photowalk and it’s gonna be my first time to participate in the said event. I heard about this event in a forum that I was actively participating, I check out the areas where ‘photowalks’ will be held and it was all filled up, only 50 participants were allowed per area.

I was watching Eat Bulaga’s Father’s Day special earlier, as usual, there were special greeting from the children of what they call as DadBarkads. The messages and praises to their fathers were touching & I believe were honest, but Bossing Vic Sotto knows how to break the ice, from nowhere, he asked, “wala bang pangit na sasabihin sa amin?” And the audience laughed.

My nephew Tobey Edison celebrated his 7th birthday at the McDonald’s™ restaurant at SM City Dasmariñas last Sunday morning.
As usual, I was the official photographer of the event, present were close relatives, neighbors & friends of the family. As expected, the kids had a wonderful time with the food, games & with the special appearance of Hamburglar, one of McDonald’s™ mascots.
Here are some of the photos I took during the party.

I had my week planned, I was about to shoot the Independence Day Celebration in Kawit, Cavite yesterday, I only covered an Independence Day Celebration once in 2007. But I didn’t make it for this year’s Independence Day fiesta, blame it on San Mig Lights.

I’ve been planning to buy a drybox for a long time, drybox is essential to keep photography gears free from fungi and other harmful elements.
I was particularly got concerned about my gears last Monday, we covered Brad & Charo’s wedding at Josephine’s Restaurant in Tagaytay City, it was raining hard and my bag got wet on the way home.
This time of the year is very critical for gears, rain tends to bring mist and moisture to the gears that might cause the dreaded fungus build-up on the lenses and camera.
Thanks to the forumers at PiPho for giving me an idea on how to make a do-it-yoursef (DIY) Dry Box.

I found my eyes glued on TV, a segment on the program Imbestigador really caught attention. Apparently, two 16 year old cousins were dreaming of making it into the world of fashion photography, then a group of photographers sought their service. It wasn’t an X-deal, they were paid P3,000.00 each for the gig not to mention the free flowing booze to make these girls more “comfortable” during the shoot.
Then the “ugly” thing happened, allegedly, these photographers took advantage of these girls. Asking them to strip, promising them that these photos will land on the pages of Maxim and FHM, then finally humping on them. [note: FHM & Maxim Philippines denied employing these photographers]

The majority bloc of the House of Representative railroaded the approval of House Resolution 1109, a resolution to convene the House of Representatives to amend or revise the Philippine Constitution.
Honestly, I was not entertained watching those circus performers on TV, it’s so obvious that the proponents of the resolution wanted to sleep early, imagine voting for an important resolution via viva voce?! What can be worst than that? Anyone in the gallery watching these clowns, could also shout ‘aye’ or ‘nay’, and their vote would have been counted. Isn’t that stupid? Yes they have 170 congressmen supporting the resolution, more than the 2/3 of the member of the lower house, but yesterday’s show did not gave time for the minority to speak.
